Our Work

Therapeutic work extends far beyond the completion of tasks; it lies in its ability to foster a sense of purpose, connection, and empowerment. Whether it's tending to the farm, creating handmade products, or engaging in garden work, every activity is infused with intentionality and mindfulness, fostering a nurturing environment conducive to personal development and community building while finding purpose and fulfillment in the work we do each day.

Through purposeful engagement in various tasks, individuals at Innisfree cultivate essential life skills, enhance their self-esteem, and develop a sense of belonging in the community fabric. It also serves as a channel for self-expression and creativity, allowing individuals to explore their talents and interests with a sense of accomplishment and community contribution.

I learn new skills to contribute to the community. I just want to be independent, like doing my own chores like laundry and work, too.

It’s nice to be in the woodshop and have my skills to really be able to create the different cutting boards with the three different kinds of wood. I love to be creative.

The workload itself is pretty fulfilling. You’re feeding back to your own community, which I think is probably one of the coolest parts about Innisfree.
